I can't believe how wonderful the August weather has been - what a relief from normal.
Fall mums are looking great! We have over 20 varieties ready to go. They will help freshen any tired looking garden by mixing them with asters and pansies. And,
Farrand Farms is one of the few growers offering the increasingly popular Montauck Daisy - it is very hardy and easy to grow - something new to experiment with! Fresh fall bulbs will be arriving very soon as well as all of your other fall favorites: pumpkins, cornstalks, straw, etc.
Now is the time to renew your lawn. For a healthy lawn next spring, fertilize the lawn 3 times this fall: Use Hummert Longlasting now through Sept 30. Apply Winterizer in late Oct. and again in late November.
Don't forget that we are growing 13,000 poinsettias for the holiday season. Bring the kids so they can see what they look like early in the production cycle. You are always welcome to visit Farrand Farms for an educational walk through.
