Garden Associate

 

Job Title: Garden Associate – Farrand Farms

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Job description:

Farrand Farms is a locally owned and locally grown company since 1922. We supply the finest and very best products via our greenhouse and garden center. The Greenhouse seasonal stock associate will be able to provide timely, neat and clean expertise regarding keeping our products stocked daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Restock and maintain the plant products on sales floor

· Clean and maintain appearance of greenhouse

· Assist with special projects

· Provide friendly customer service

· Maintain communication with staff and management on product needs, etc

· May be required to perform other tasks as requested, assigned, or directed

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Works independently

• Requires physical stamina with lifting, turning and bending and ability to lift over 10-15lbs

• Able to work in extreme temperatures

• Desire to learn about our products and placement

• Fun attitude and strong work ethic

• Team-player mentality

• Ability to deal with problems and resolve in a professional manner

• Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekends, and holiday shifts

Education and Experience:

• Nursery/Grow experience preferred but not required.
